SLED is a World Wide Web (WWW) server. If you don't have WWW client software on your own computer, you will use Lynx which is the WWW browser automatically supplied by SLED. Using Lynx, you typically see these two rows of commands at the bottom of your screen: Arrow keys: Up and Down to move. Right to follow a link; Left to go
back.
DOWN arrow key goes to the next menu item. Although not intuitive, this is true even when the next menu item is arranged to the right of the previous menu item. UP arrow key goes back to the previous menu item. RIGHT arrow key or ENTER key goes to the menu item that your cursor is highlighting. LEFT arrow key goes back to the previous screen Alternatively, you can type the number of the link and hit the ENTER key. You will go directly into that resource.
When the cursor is pointing to a menu item, type the equal sign (=) and the URL will be displayed. [This works in Gopher too!]
Use the search command by typing a forward slash (/). This allows you to search for a word or phrase within the current document. It's useful for searching a multi-page menu list or document for a particular word or phrase.
