Introducing SLED

SLED, the Statewide Library Electronic Doorway, is an easy-to-use World Wide Web site that connects people to library, government, local community, and Internet information resources. Connections to new information resources are constantly being added to SLED.

Please note that SLED connects you to other computer systems to retrieve information. Once you leave SLED's main menu, SLED cannot control the information you access.

SLED is brought to you by Alaskan libraries. It was developed and is principally funded by the Alaska State Library and Rasmuson Library, University of Alaska Fairbanks. We are grateful to the Alaska Legislature who provided funding for FY96.

SLED's first run occurred in March, 1994 and SLED became a World Wide Web server in July, 1995. SLED is always evolving and we welcome your comments, suggestions, and complaints on the services you find here. Please call us in state at (800) 478-4667 or out of state at (907) 474-6564.

Send email to sled@uaf.edu or use the COMMENTS button at the top of each SLED screen to write us.
